This is such a flattering dress.
You'll feel like you were a princess at ball, but you know with a secret assassin life 😉

Oh so cute!!
Simple ultra mini dress in taffeta.
Utau has so many cute outfits! Which one is your favourite? Which would you like to see next?
]]>The trick was the print. While there are many methods to add illustrations to the fabric this one is large, so I felt embroidery would be too heavy and not cost effective. In the end we were able to find someone to hand paint the swirls on, since the original swirls are like paintbrush strokes.
The result is wonderful! The colour is sharp and vibrant. The painter was a bit stressed but in the end he was also happy with the results. The first one was time consuming but the next ones should go smoothly.
The next thing to tackle was the hood, with ears. I had been turned down at another seamstress while requesting an umbreon hood. So I was ecstatic when they said "No problem". The ears do not require any wire as the ears are 3D.
Overall I am extremely happy with the results.
]]>Classic! Everyone should be a super villain at least once 😉
We stuck to simple designs for these. When the tailor saw the Harley Quinn robe he was a bit confused and said to the seamstress "What is going on with in your clients head?" Which is so suited for Harley Quinn right? 😆
Materials is a lightweight silk, perfect for summer cons. I will definitely be wearing these as summer dresses ❤️
]]>There were a lot of decisions to make from the design to the fabric.
For the design we ended up using a 2 piece set. Since the item is made to measurements, it comes nicely fitted and does not require much effort in draping. This is particularly helpful to those who do not have experience in wearing kimonos.
For the fabric we used cotton and taffeta. The cotton is light weight and soft, while the taffeta gives the skirt volume, to make it extra kawaii!
There are some changes I would make for the future. Like adding pockets to the skirt and changing to an attached collar.
As a designer there are many things to consider, I've been very lucky to have the valuable expertise from the tailor and seamstresses.
While this did take awhile to complete it help us solidify a design and now kimono/robes can be made at a much fast rate.
]]>The colours are so sharp and the skull embroidery is so cute!
Material is a stretch suiting. It is comfy and made to last.
]]>It's very modern and trendy, you can definitely wear this as a party dress.
I'm thinking of making this in other colours just for fun.
Organza fabric with piping details.
]]>Bridges were burned for this cosplay lol
So here's the story.
For this cosplay we went to 4 tailors who all looked at us with disbelief and refused to make the item. The 5th tailor took on the job, it ended up costing 4 times the amount. After they finished they said "No more".
Mad skills were needed for this item. The time it took to make this set is equal to them making 20 suits. This is mainly because we wanted something shiny and lightweight.
This is soooo gorgeous! I thanked them profusely. I hope time will change their mind but we may have to source a different material in the future.
Set includes: Jacket and pants.
PS. We have become the terror for tailors.

This set was super fun to make.
The top is a soft cotton with piping and zipper. Then a navy pleated mini skirt.
KAWAII!
]]>
This jacket and shorts set is so cute you'll want to wear it all the time.
Since the ladies here are used to making suits this is so well made, with the finest details.
]]>
It includes dress, shirt and tie.
It's amazing how much taller this outfit makes you look!
There's so many cute looks in Kobayashi, would you like to see any others?
]]>There are bound to be difficulties. This item was not easy to make.
There was complaining and pleading, (probably some blood, sweat and tears behind the scenes). This is mainly due to the embroidery on the sleeves. At one point we thought we'd compromise and have the details done by painting instead.
However after 4 hours the top was delivered with the embroidery. It ended up costing twice as much but I totally gasped when I saw it. It is so beautiful! I couldn't thank the tailor enough. They worked some incredible magic.
I'm not even sure if the tailor will be willing to make another one, fingers crossed...

Obi Wan femme has always done very well, especially during the Halloween months. Understandably so, as who wouldn't want to attend a Star Wars themed party?!
This time I wanted to make a flowy cloak and large hood.
I loooove swooshing around in the cloak.
]]>However sweating in cosplays during the summer months is probably something we can all relate to.
So I decided to make something lightweight and flowy to wear for cosplay and just casually around town.
This Cinderella inspired dress comes is made with soft chiffon, comes with detachable train and peplum.
The design can be used for many princess type costumes. I have Princess Peach and Daisy in mind, what about you? You will be able to customize in your colours to create your very own princess.
